Winemaker Notes

The 2022 vintage started off as an exceptionally warm and an ideal vintage to grow many different grape varieties in Washington expressing ripeness and purity of fruit. As the late spring and summer months arrived, we were working with a milder climate at night and a longer growing season. The 2022 growing season really gave us winemakers a chance to work closely with our growers to further reduce yields as we navigated some cooler temperatures. September surprised us with much warmer temps during the day and cooler breezes at night to obtain optimal ripeness just in time. We hope you will enjoy!

Our impression of this wine

The 2022 Piolet White Wine introduces itself with rich and rounded notes of melon and honey crisp apple. This wine parades across the palate with tropical and passion fruits presenting themselves. On the second sip, this White Wine glides over your taste buds with a stream of minerality and a full mouth-coating purity of fruit while showcasing its beautiful viscosity. Subtle nuances of soft baking spices from the large format French oak vessels. This wine finally finishes leaving behind notes of honeysuckle and pineapple. This unorthodox Bordeaux Blanc blend is comprised of 70% Horse Heaven Sauvignon Blanc & 30% French Creek Chardonnay. This stuff is downright delicious. Cheers!
