2022 Pas a Vendre Cabernet Sauvignon
2022 Pas a Vendre Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker Notes
Our impression of this wine – As a marker of the vintage, this release of the "Black Label" is made up of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon of Red Mountain and Horse Heaven Hills and 5% Syrah of Stoneridge Vineyard on Royal Slope AVA. Lifted aromatics of freshly crushed violets, black cherry, and black plum yield to forest floor, and sandalwood. Bold structure, yet light on its feet. Leading to incredible density on the palate. Reinforced purity of fruit and harmonious balance of the vineyards. Finely polished tannins and flavors of blackberry, mocha, and prune drift for minutes on the finish.
95% Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Syrah

Vintage Notes
The 2022 vintage provided optimal growing conditions across Washington state. All markers of the growing season were advanced by about two weeks from historical averages. By mid-summer, temps had cooled just a touch to allow for a very even veraison period and optimal cell development. In September and October, the temperatures warmed right back up, allowing for more ideal flavor and phenolic ripeness. Towards the finish line, the weather created an ideal vintage for Cabernet Sauvignon and red varietals, producing wines that were powerful and rich, yet elegant and balanced.
